This (winter of 2011-12) was my second time photographing a Snowy Owl irruption in western Washington, and I’ve been waiting patiently for the next one ever since.

Note that this image is fairly soft due to the grass blocking my view of the owl (something that was sort of purposeful). Any prints of this image will likely lack detail and sharpness.
