Though he was unsuccessful in this hunting attempt, and wearing a radio collar, I’m still happy to share the story of this male jaguar.

He was rescued during the Pantanal wildfires a few years ago. All four of his feet were burned, and following a year of rehabilitation, he was released back into the wild. His collar is used to track his recovery, and will soon fall off. There are no other collared jaguars in the Pantanal.
