Photos of a wild mountain lion taken just after sunset in the Wasatch Mountains south of Salt Lake City. I was stationed in a tree stand above a natural spring, where the cat had been seen coming to drink occasionally. The encounter lasted maybe two minutes but remains perhaps my favorite wildlife encounter to date.
